After editing schema and instance in the schema playground, the URL was shared so that participants could continue from the same state. Opening it loaded the default example rather than the edited documents, so nobody could follow along from the demonstrated state.
It was not established during the session whether the copy shareable URL button had been used rather than the address bar URL, so the first step is to confirm which of the two is expected to carry state, and then make the behaviour of the other one unambiguous. If only the button produces a restorable link, the address bar URL should not look like one.
Worth checking alongside: whether a restored link is overridden by the example selector on load, which would explain the default example appearing.
