The publish method now accepts multiple event type strings and a payload, allowing the same payload to be published to several event types at once. Also updated string quotes for consistency and improved error handling.
Changed the InitOptions interface to require the protocol property instead of making it optional. This enforces explicit protocol specification when initializing the socket connection.
