Norbert-Oleksy/README.md

👋 Hello there, I'm Norbert Oleksy

Game Developer specializing in Unity (C#) and expanding into Unreal Engine (C++)

Creating immersive and detailed gameplay experiences is what drives me as a game developer. My passion lies in building systems that not only work flawlessly but also feel intuitive and enjoyable to players.

I'm committed to pushing the boundaries of what interactive experiences can offer. Whether it's prototyping new ideas or optimizing existing features, I aim to create games that are polished, responsive, and meaningful.

With several shipped titles on PC and consoles, I’ve been deeply involved in both original development and high-quality ports. I thrive in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with designers, artists, and audio engineers to bring complex systems to life.

Outside of work, I enjoy building personal prototypes and exploring emerging Unity features. I often apply what I learn directly into team workflows to boost efficiency or quality.

Projects

Below are a few selected projects from my repositories. (Click on a project image to visit the repository)
Well, thats a bomb Project Image

Well, that's a bomb

A 2D logic puzzle game where the player races against time to defuse a bomb. Since each part of the bomb follows its own unique logic, I focused on a modular programming approach to ensure the code remains clean and flexible.

PathfindingExample Project Image

Path finding example

An example project focused on grid-based character movement. The application allows for generating a map and customizing it in real-time. A player placed on the map can move according to set parameters and attack an opponent.

EnvironmentalPuzzleExample Project Image

Environmental puzzle example

An example project primarily featuring a first-person controller (FPC), allowing for free movement around the map and interaction with the environment. The player was tasked with solving a multi-stage puzzle, with each stage having its own unique logic. By interacting with the environment and picking up objects, players could complete tasks.

Card-Management-Example-Project Project Image

Card management example

An example project featuring a card game management system. It contained core elements such as the deck, player hand, table, and discard pile. Each of these components had its own specific logic designed to adhere to the task specifications while also allowing for future expansion. The player interacted with the cards, by using the mouse.
