At Bitsight, I build pipelines that process terabytes of data into the security ratings customers rely on to understand their footprint and fix vulnerabilities. Every run is tied to an SLA, so reliability isn't optional.
At Critical TechWorks, I designed fact and dimension models for BMW vehicle data and automotive market sales, processed incrementally with AWS Glue and Apache Iceberg.
My MSc thesis in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Minho focused on HyLake, a fine-grained update mechanism for data lakes.
I enjoy working with big data and distributed systems: building pipelines that process large volumes of data, and the backend services that make that data useful in real products. I like complex problems, because solving them is how I keep learning and growing as an engineer.
