Validations 2018

Landing page for the 2018 validations of NUISANCE v2 and v3

Nothing fixed in stone (or even brittle sand): edit freely!

Roadmap:

• Use same generators as in v1; validate against uploaded root file
• Expect some differences from fixes/changes to signal definitions (e.g. MINERvA CC1pi+ after Patrick found that the cut was on GENIE W, not true W, eurgh). Should understand all of these

Generators:

1. GENIE
   • 2.12.10 (with Default and probably some "latest models" version)
   • 2.8.6 (or something MINERvA/T2K production like?)
2. NuWro
   • 16.01 for v1 validations?
   • 18.01 for latest?)
3. NEUT
   • 5.4.0 (Next T2K production. Run with identical settings)
   • 5.3.6 (The latest NEUT version we ran with in v1 validations)
   • NEUT 5.3.3 (really? This is old and deprecated)

Person allocation:

• Callum: GENIE
• Luke: NuWro
• Clarence: NEUT and GENIE

Statistics:

• Run at least 2M inclusive events

Fit validations:

• Will rely on reweight engines, which have seen fixes (e.g. NEUT definitely has)
• Single pion fits with bubble chamber data: did these for NEUT, GENIE and NuWro, could be a useful validation test
