Can't create app anymore without Reddit approval #13

Description

@geerlingguy

When I try to create a new App on old.reddit.com, I get a message:

In order to create an application or use our API you can read our full policies here: https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/42728983564564-Responsible-Builder-Policy

The Responsible Builder Policy requires explicit approval (which has to be requested separately) to get API access at all.

There's a thread about it from 6 months ago (late 2025), and I'm guessing the new guard rails are up because of people slurping up all of reddit into LLMs, ugh.

Meanwhile, it makes individual thread analysis a lot more annoying, oh well.
