A scene simplifier for Blender to increase viewport performance.

Mustard Simplify temporarily disables scene and object features that are usually not needed while animating, giving you a faster, smoother viewport. When you are done, everything can be restored with a single click.

Requirement: Blender 4.3 or above

Getting Started

  • Installation: install as a Blender Extension (recommended) or legacy add-on.

Usage

  • Simplify: the core feature, disable heavy features of your scene.
    • Cycles Culling: disable/enable culling settings on Objects.
    • Modifiers: choose which modifier types to simplify.
    • Shape Keys: fine-grained control over driven and non-driven shape keys.
  • Exceptions: exclude specific objects or collections from simplification.
  • Execution Times: measure how long your modifiers take to evaluate.
  • Others — additional settings such as the texture size limit.
