Hi, I'm Matthias 👋

Freelance Software Developer · C# / .NET · 25+ years

I design and build backend, web, and mobile software end-to-end — from architecture decisions to production delivery. Specialized in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET MAUI. Based in Dresden, Germany; available remote and across the EU.

🛠 What I do

  • Backend & APIs — Scalable REST APIs with ASP.NET Core and EF Core. Clean architecture, DI, TDD.
  • Cross-platform mobile — iOS, Android, and Windows apps with .NET MAUI (and Xamarin before that). 20+ apps shipped.
  • Desktop & web — WPF where a rich desktop client is the right call; Blazor for web UIs that share the .NET stack.
  • Delivery — Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Azure. From first commit to production.

I take ownership of the whole path: architecture, implementation, code review, CI/CD, and the unglamorous bits that get software actually delivered.

💻 Tech stack

Data SQL Server PostgreSQL SQLite

Delivery Git GitHub Actions Azure DevOps Docker Azure

Practice — Clean Architecture · MVVM / MVC · TDD · Design Patterns · Agile / Scrum

🚀 Selected work

A self-hosted Git server for Windows, written in C# / ASP.NET. Maintained fork of Bonobo Git Server, modernized and actively developed under my Code-iX organization. A representative example of how I approach legacy modernization and long-term OSS maintenance.

Tech: C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, IIS

📱 20+ mobile apps (Code-iX, since 2007)

Native apps for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile, plus cross-platform apps for iOS, Android, and Windows with Xamarin and .NET MAUI — for industry clients and own products. Most are under NDA; happy to walk through case studies on request.

P.S. The Jack-The-Adventureman repo is my 2003 high-school Turbo Pascal project. It stays up for honesty's sake — everyone starts somewhere. 🙂

This was my end of school project in Turbo Pascal for computer science in 2003. So don't blame me ;)
