What changed and why

Boards that list both open-weight and proprietary models gain a Weights control under Change chart: All models, Open weights, or Proprietary. It hides rows and chart points only. Rank, same-task ratios and measurements stay those of the full board; ?weights=open and ?weights=closed restore the view.

Classification follows the model developer (parsimony.site.open_weight): Alibaba, DeepSeek, Meta, MiniMax, Mistral AI, Moonshot AI, Xiaomi and Z.ai count as open-weight, plus gpt-oss; Anthropic, Google, OpenAI (other than gpt-oss) and xAI count as proprietary. Unknown developers appear only in the all-models view. The control is omitted when a board has only one class.

README, docs/method.md and CHANGELOG describe the control. Tests cover developer classification, gpt-oss, unchanged rank order, and the chart/table filter. scripts/rebuild-site.sh regenerated site/ (and the live-python page-data fixture’s open_weight field). No analyzer rules or measurements changed.

Checks

  • scripts/check.sh passes.
  • Generated files (bundles, site/ pages) were regenerated, not hand-edited.
  • No published record in examples/ was edited.
