The camera-substitution decision (inject vs. real camera) used to be cached the first time a Camera2 session was created in a target app's process, and was never re-evaluated after that:
- Deleting
virtual.mp4while the app kept running produced a black screen instead of falling back to the real camera. - Creating
disable.jpghad no effect without a full app restart.
Now the check is live on every camera session creation, so re-entering a camera screen (or otherwise having the app reopen the camera) picks up the current state without restarting the app.
Pre-built debug APK: app/release/app-debug.apk (debug-signed — uninstall any differently-signed build first).
