Justin Taylor's Data Analytics and Systems Architecture Portfolio
I am a strategic, data-driven Program Operations Lead currently expanding my technical toolkit through a Data Analytics fellowship with Merit America. With a background spanning Higher Education, Web3, and Venture Creation, I specialize in translating complex methodologies into scalable operating models and data-backed programs.
I thrive in environments where I can leverage analytics, SQL, and data visualization to solve systemic challenges, optimize workflows, and bring organizational clarity.
- Project: The Wayfinders College Initiative
- Description: Synthesized 39 market and regulatory research sources into a strategic brief, mapping buyer pathways across 7 campus segments to design the architecture for an upstream university intervention.
- (Full project documentation repository coming soon)

- Status: Completed
- Resources: BigQuery Public Datasets
- Description:
- Explored BigQuery’s public dataset on homelessness from 2010 - 2018 to draw insights into historical trends.
- Modified the dataset using SQL to allow for more efficient analysis, including removing unnecessary columns and creating new ones.
- Performed data analysis using SQL queries to identify locations that need support for homeless youth and homeless veterans, in addition to sourcing locations that were effectively supporting their homeless population.
- Project: Spreadsheet Data Processing & Analytics
- Status: Completed
- Description:
-
- Applied advanced spreadsheet functions (Excel / Google Sheets) to process, clean, and analyze datasets as part of the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate curriculum.
- Ensured data integrity and utilized advanced cleaning methodologies to transform raw "dirty" data into structured, usable formats.
- Executed complex functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and conditional logic to extract actionable insights and create foundational data visualizations.
- Status: Coming Soon
My career has been defined by human-centered design and systems thinking—from co-leading governance for a 5,000+ member global Web3 ecosystem to directing product growth and operations. I believe the most effective data analysis doesn't just produce reports; it builds the infrastructure for better human and organizational alignment.
