I find that the call to glShaderSource() in util.jl crashes Julia, since upgrading to version 1.12.1 (Linux / Windows). Naively replacing the third argument with Ptr{GLchar}[pointer(source)] seems to fix it -- although I'm not sure that this simplification fully matches the original behaviour...
What exactly do you mean? Where to you replace what to Ptr{GLchar}[pointer(source)].
Actually that seems to be what GLMakie is doing, although it's unsafe - surprised that it works that way.
It should need a GC.@preserver source block.
Apologies -- I'd been using what I now realize is probably obsolete code createShader() from ModernGL/test/util.jl. I presume that the right thing to use here is glShaderSource(), as given in GLAbstraction.jl (noting that your above observations might also be applicable there), thank you.
