Who I Am

I'm a backend-leaning full-stack engineer who likes owning a feature from schema design to the button the user actually clicks. Most of my work lives in Java and Spring Boot — services, APIs, data models, the parts of a system that have to be correct even when nobody's watching. But I don't stop at the API boundary. If a project needs a React frontend or a Flutter app to be usable, I build that too.

Two years in, my strongest instincts are around backend architecture, database design, and making systems that hold up under real usage — not just demo well. I've spent a fair amount of time in query plans and index design, and I'd rather fix a slow query than add a cache to hide it.

I use AI tools the way I use any other tool in the stack: to move faster on the parts that don't need my judgment, so I can spend more time on the parts that do — architecture, trade-offs, and the actual problem the software is supposed to solve.
