Replace Stout hero effect with fire resistance#209

Well I'm not happy with the choice as fire resistance does have some effect on game progression - that is, we are used to not having fire resistance when we first enter Nether. We get that capability only after returning from the fortress. I even considered FR in loot bottles and decided against it. |

Affecting game play is the point of all mods. Otherwise there isn't a reward for spending 15 minutes on a task to get an edge before entering the nether with 5 minutes of Fire Resistance, which in the Nether goes by fast. |

After doing a fair amount of analysis, I am going to change it to match the 3:00 from the vanilla potion. The vanilla potion takes around 1 minute to actually process in the Brew Stand, once you have the ingredients. It yields 3 potions. While the Stout will give an edge in the nether to find your first ingredients, setting Stout to also be 3 minutes will balance out the level of effort ratio for the player. With the stout you only get two drinks per 1 bucket of processing which clocks in actually at 11 minutes. |
Summary
Rationale
Hero of the Village represents recognition for defending a village and does not make thematic sense as a portable fermented effect.
Stout requires roughly 11 minutes of machine processing and 12–15 minutes of practical player workflow for a one-bucket batch, which yields two drinks. A three-minute Fire Resistance effect matches the standard vanilla potion duration while attaching a substantially longer production cost to the early-game advantage.
