The released CMS history build cannot admit a narrowly scoped preview-view token. This ports the reviewed optional host-owned preview-access callback onto current main without replacing the saved-history implementation.
The callback runs after existing transport, canonical-domain and configured-password checks. Its ceiling permits canonical content GET/HEAD only; Basic verification, privileged routes, credential stripping and private response headers remain enforced. The added tests cover malformed hashes, route aliases, callback mutation, protected routes and separate preview tenants.

8a87321240c9b0638999135b18f84a5b7ed8f263; selected hook, documentation and tests from reviewed draft3711b8bfe47c5919b14547555729a5a51c4abef8d3. Earlier draft37 remains untouched. Local validation is formatting, JavaScript-free source parsing andgit diff --check; native CI and independent review are required at this exact head. No deployment, credentials or grants are created.
