Adds a dedicated Mechanical wiki page documenting the Falcon shaft replacement workflow. The page captures the exact sequence, tool sizes, replacement parts, and bolt/Loctite requirements from the issue so students can execute the repair consistently.

  • Documentation

    • Added /Mechanical/Swap Falcon Shaft.md as a standalone procedure page.
  • Procedure content

    • Structured into:
      • Tools and Parts Needed (T10, T8, O-ring, bearing, M2/M3 bolts, Loctite)
      • Procedure (ordered disassembly/replacement/reassembly flow)
  • Key implementation details

    • Explicitly maps fastener operations to bit sizes and reassembly hardware:
      • Casing removal/reinstall: T10, M3 + Loctite
      • Shaft bolt removal/reinstall: T8, M2 + Loctite
      • Slip ring replacement callout to rubber O-ring
## Procedure

1. Remove the Falcon casing using a T10 bit.
2. Unscrew the shaft bolts using a T8 bit.
3. Remove the slip ring and bearing.
4. Replace the slip ring with the new rubber O-ring.
5. Replace the bearing with the new bearing.
6. Reinstall the shaft bolts using M2 bolts with Loctite.
7. Reinstall the casing bolts using M3 bolts with Loctite.

@copilot separate tools and parts into their own sub sections

Updated in commit 7d29adf: the page now separates Tools and Parts into their own subsections under "Tools and Parts Needed."

Pull request overview

Adds a new Mechanical documentation page to standardize the Falcon shaft swap procedure for team members, aligning the wiki’s Mechanical section with the workflow captured in Issue #310.

Changes:

  • Added a standalone “Swap Falcon Shaft” page under Mechanical/.
  • Documented required tools/parts and an ordered disassembly → replacement → reassembly procedure.
Suppressed comments (1)

Mechanical/Swap Falcon Shaft.md:26

  • Steps 6–7 call for reinstalling with M2/M3 bolts “with Loctite”, but don’t indicate whether to reuse the original bolts or how to ensure replacement bolts are the correct length/thread. This can lead to bottoming out or stripping threads. Consider stating to reuse originals if possible, otherwise match the original hardware, and apply the same threadlocker type as removed.
6. Reinstall the shaft bolts using M2 bolts with Loctite.
7. Reinstall the casing bolts using M3 bolts with Loctite.

One or more custom setup steps configured for this repository failed during this Copilot code review run:

Install MkDocs and extensions

Setup steps run before each review. If the review above is missing context, or no review was posted at all, the failing step above may be the cause. See the workflow run for failure details, fix your setup steps configuration, and re-request a review.

Note

You can configure setup steps for Copilot code review separately from Copilot cloud agent with a copilot-code-review.yml file. Read the docs for details.
