OverView

Focuses on electrical and PCB design of an esc, Including:

  • Power Stage (Birdge between multiple mosfet)
  • gate driver ic stage
  • MCU and its power circuitry
  • Input power decoupling and sensing
  • current sensing
  • swd pads
  • compact layout

Features

  • AM32-based ESC firmware
  • DSHOT Control
  • Fully configurable parameters
  • Voltage Capabilites upto 60v
  • 8 Layer PCB for over current capacity and cool thermals
  • Size: 62.5*35.5 mm wide makes it compact and versatile for many uav applications

About AM32

AM32 is a open source esc firmware designed for various stm and artery tech based micro controllers. its is majorly used in fpv and uav applications where it is used to drive brushless motors in drones

Tools used

  • KiCad

Electrical Specification

  • Input Voltage: 12s
  • Continuous Current: 100A
  • Burst Current: 150 10s
  • MCU: STM32G071KBU6
  • Gate Driver: DRV8300DPWR
  • Mosfets: IPT017N10NM5LF2ATMA1
  • Control Signal: Dshot 600
  • Board Dimensions: 62.5*35.5 mm

Firmware for flashing

Bootloader: AM32_G071_BOOTLOADER_PB4_V17

Firmware: AM32_AM32_ESC_G071_2.20

With the help of stm32 cube programmer and esc config tools in the Tools directory we can flash the esc with suitable latest firmware
