Large edits freeze client & server. Even when client unfreezes the server never recovers.
A Solution
Where is the asynchronous feature, or at least some configuration to adjust edited blocks per tick? FastAsyncWorldEdit as a plugin is a popular solution for this.

Anything Else?
I will have to run spark in a client with just my worldgen mods, minus my optimization & other mods, to see if any of them are causing this issue. But as an example, regenerating a 1-or-200x200 square causes a complete hang. Not only does it take the client 30 seconds to freeze, but after the audio recovers (server recovery or no?) the client is still frozen. While in actuality generating an area of that size should take only a few seconds in my large modpack.
If you have a crash, please post it as a bug. We regularly test large edits ourselves, and while it may take significant memory, we are not aware of issues aside from that.

Would be more aptly named "AFewChunksEdit". Anything past that crashes. Major problem.
