A free, open-source Krillion Puffer Party userscript with historical answers, word suggestions, and optional local AI. The fish brought an 8B model to a trivia game.
Install userscript · Website · Installation guide · Optional Ollama guide
Install Violentmonkey first. No Ollama or cloud account is needed for archive and dictionary suggestions.
It digs through historical answers, checks a word list, and asks a local AI when your brain has left the aquarium. A Violentmonkey userscript with a deeply unnecessary amount of engineering behind it.
You still submit every answer manually. We had to leave one skill check.
- Fish with receipts. Historical examples from a public Daily Dive dataset, visited guide pages, and answers you save manually.
- Spelling outsourced. Local word suggestions for recognized prefix, suffix, containment and numeric-length rules.
- A GPU-powered brain cell. Optional local Ollama generation with
qwen3:8b; no cloud model required. - Remembers what you don't. Tracks accepted, pending and rejected answers across Party category changes.
- Cheating, but make it legible. Dark panel, tier colours, readable state chips and feed diagnostics.
- Five buttons between you and looking suspiciously knowledgeable. Click or use Alt+1–5 to fill the input. Filling never submits.
Historical scores are not predictions of the current Party score. Dictionary and model suggestions may be rejected by the game. Qwen can be confidently wrong; now you can experience that underwater.
Independent project. Unaffiliated with Krillion or Violentmonkey. Please don't make the fish answer support emails about this.
- Install Violentmonkey in your browser.
- Open Install userscript. With Violentmonkey enabled, this should open its installation screen.
- Review the script and permissions, then choose Install in Violentmonkey.
- Fully reload the Krillion tab so network hooks attach to new game connections.
If the link displays source code instead, create a script in the Violentmonkey dashboard, replace its contents with the complete krill_bot.user.js, and save. See the installation and troubleshooting guide.
Updating an earlier installation: back up/export it in Violentmonkey first. For an existing krill_bot / krill_bot.local installation, use the direct installation link or the manager's update command; the name and namespace remain unchanged so the manager can recognize it. For older identities, edit the existing script, replace its contents, and save. Existing cache keys in the same script's storage are copied to the new names on first access, without deleting the originals. A fresh installation has separate storage and cannot automatically read another script's data. Keep only one copy enabled.
With Ollama installed and running, pull the configured model:
ollama pull qwen3:8bThe userscript connects to http://127.0.0.1:11434. It requests structured JSON with thinking disabled. Archive/dictionary suggestions work without Ollama. Use Warm 8B or Unload 8B to manage model loading. The endpoint and model are defined in CFG near the top of the script.
Yes, this is a large language model helping you name a word ending in “way.” Humanity has come a long way.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Click a suggestion / Alt+1–5 | Fill the input; submit it yourself |
| Regenerate | Skip the displayed suggestions and select alternatives |
| Save official | Save answers copied from your official Archive view |
| Open guide | Open the guide; visited dated pages can be imported |
| Clear records | Clear tracked states for the current category |
| Diagnostics | Check hooks, round identity, feed capture and confirmation evidence |
Accepted, pending and rejected answers appear directly in the panel. Unknown observations remain separate. Tier colours include labels; historical suggestion tiers and actual accepted tiers are kept separate.
Regenerate is the technical term for “surely I can pretend I knew something better.”
The script runs on krillion.io, www.krillion.io, and dated answer-guide pages under krilliongame.com/krillion-answers/.
- It observes game messages and relevant page elements to maintain answer state.
- Category and candidate text is sent to local Ollama when generation is needed.
- Violentmonkey downloads the declared word-list and archive resources from GitHub. The archive can refresh in the background once per day.
- Imported guide/official answers and archive caches stay in Violentmonkey storage. They are not included in this repository.
- It does not submit answers, send room actions, or retain game authentication tokens. The protocol adapter keeps only the room fields it needs, excluding player records and chat.
Use Node.js 24 or newer. There are no npm dependencies and no install/build step.
git clone https://github.com/EleChon-pixel/krill_bot.git
cd krill_bot
npm run checknpm run check checks userscript syntax, runs the regression suite, and checks the website's internal links and SEO metadata. Tests execute the distributed script directly and exercise browser orchestration with deterministic web API/DOM mocks. CI runs the same command.
50 regression tests. For a fish cheat. The priorities are beyond questioning.
The Party adapter follows public client JavaScript inspected on 2026-11-04. The 50 regression tests cover its observed message shapes, round transitions, pending recovery, delayed responses, tier rendering and colour contrast. This is not evidence of a verified live Violentmonkey session. Browser injection and future game changes can affect tracking.
If tracking is empty, fully reload the tab, open Diagnostics, and check the feed indicator. A hook marked installed does not prove it captured traffic. Missing patch history waits for a full snapshot rather than guessing. The literal word parser does not understand every possible English restriction.
See implementation notes for the detailed changelog, protocol references and limitations. To report a problem, include the version, browser, Violentmonkey version and a redacted example. Do not post player keys, auth tokens, room invite links or private chat.
The buildless website lives in site/. It includes a Krillion Puffer Party landing page, a Violentmonkey installation guide, an optional Ollama guide, canonical URLs, social previews, and a sitemap. Its panel is a labeled illustration, not a live-game screenshot or evidence of compatibility.
GitHub Actions checks the project before publishing site/ to GitHub Pages. See website operations for preview commands, page topics, and Search Console setup. Search terms are initial hypotheses, not measured demand or ranking promises.
External datasets, guide content and game assets are not vendored here. Their ownership and terms remain with their respective sources. This repository's code is available under the MIT License.
At the end of the day, it's a cheat for a fish game. We gave it CI anyway.
