SendShield

Protecting users from risky crypto wallet addresses before funds are sent.

SendShield

SendShield is a Chrome extension designed to help users identify potentially risky cryptocurrency wallet addresses before sending funds.

Overview

Crypto transactions are irreversible. SendShield provides an additional safety layer by detecting wallet addresses that appear in a maintained threat database and displaying warning messages before a transaction is completed.

Features

  • Chrome Extension
  • Wallet Address Detection
  • Scam Wallet Alerts
  • Sanctioned Wallet Alerts
  • High-Risk Wallet Alerts
  • Warning Popups on Supported Pages
  • External JSON-Based Threat Database (wallets.json)

Testing SendShield

SendShield currently uses a demonstration threat database for testing and validation purposes.

Test Wallet Addresses

🚫 Sanctioned Wallet

0x72a5843cc08275c8171e582972aa4fda8c397b2a

  • Indicates the wallet has been linked to phishing activity

How to Test

  1. Install SendShield in Chrome.
  2. Open a supported cryptocurrency withdrawal or wallet address input page.
  3. Paste one of the test wallet addresses above into the address field.
  4. Verify that SendShield displays the appropriate security warning.

Note

The current version uses a demonstration threat database to validate wallet detection and warning workflows. Future versions will integrate additional intelligence sources, sanctions data, community reports, and external threat intelligence feeds.
