"Last Breath" is a two-player underwater survival and combat game developed for the Global Game Jam 2025 at Lusófona University, under the theme “Bubble”.
After an ecological catastrophe, humanity fled beneath the waves — but greed and rivalry followed them down.
Two cities struggle for oxygen, resources, and dominance in the deep.
Last Breath is a couch-competitive arena game where two players pilot submarines, gather resources, and fight to keep their underwater cities alive.
Each choice matters: do you mine oxygen or steal it? Do you strike or retreat?
- 2-player local play — either two gamepads, or one gamepad + keyboard.
- Goal: keep your city supplied with oxygen. When your base runs out, you can no longer respawn.
- Gather, fight, and survive: resources affect your submarine while carried, and can be used to replenish your city.
- Respawning: destroyed subs return after a delay, but only while their city has oxygen.
- Recover the city: if the city runs of of oxygen, you can recover it by delivering two resources of the same type to the base.
- Victory: the match ends when one city runs out of oxygen and its pilot is dead.
