Summary

  • ParserAdditionalBranchCoverageTest (10 tests): Covers underscore-prefixed variable names (isText c == '_' branch), single-underscore variables, built-in constants (pi, e), convertInput stripping unrecognized characters, implicit multiplication (constant × variable and constant × function), and the Parser(String, true) error mode with both unset and set variables.
  • SfunAdditionalBranchCoverageTest (9 tests): Covers cot(0) returning positive infinity (y == 0.0 branch), gamma overflow (x=172), underflow (x=-170.7), and negative integer (x=-11) branches, logGamma NaN for negative integers, logBeta dlnrel path with very small arguments, and fact boundary cases (n<0 → NaN, n>170 → infinity, n=0 → 1).
  • PaginatedGuiAdditionalBranchCoverageTest (1 test): Covers the getMaximumPage() >= 1 precondition in setPage() when getMaximumPage() returns 0.

Scope

These tests target branches not covered by any of the 30 currently open test PRs (#91–#120). No production code was changed.

Test plan

  • All 3 new test files compile and pass
  • Full test suite passes with no regressions
  • Testing audit persona reviewed changes; feedback addressed (removed duplicate tests, fixed weak assertion, added error-mode test)

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Tests
    • Expanded automated coverage for pagination edge cases, including invalid page selections.
    • Added parser coverage for special variables, constants, implicit multiplication, input handling, and evaluation errors.
    • Added mathematical function coverage for boundary conditions involving cotangent, gamma, log-gamma, log-beta, and factorial calculations.
    • Improved confidence in consistent behavior across parsing, pagination, and numerical computations.

Add three new test files targeting uncovered branches not addressed
by any open PR:

- ParserAdditionalBranchCoverageTest: underscore-prefixed variables
  (isText c=='_' branch), built-in constants (pi/e), implicit
  multiplication, convertInput character stripping, and Parser
  error=true mode with unset variables
- SfunAdditionalBranchCoverageTest: cot(0) positive infinity branch,
  gamma overflow/underflow/negative-integer branches, logGamma NaN
  branch, logBeta dlnrel path, and fact boundary cases (n<0, n>170, n=0)
- PaginatedGuiAdditionalBranchCoverageTest: setPage precondition when
  getMaximumPage() returns 0 (< 1 branch)
