Professional, production-ready documentation for the CCJMUN web project.
A modern, responsive web application. This README provides a concise overview, quickstart instructions, development notes, and contribution guidelines for maintainers and contributors.
CCJMUN (repository) is a web project delivering a polished front-end experience. The project package name is shadcn-ui-template (see package.json). This repository contains the application source, tooling, and build configuration needed to run, develop, and deploy the site.
This README includes exact scripts and guidance sourced from package.json and the Vite configuration in the project root.
- Clean, component-based front-end structure
- Fast local development server with hot-reloading
- Production build optimized for performance
- Opinionated tooling for consistency (formatting, linting)
- TypeScript
- Vite (dev server & build)
- Standard modern web toolchain (Node.js, npm / pnpm / yarn)
See package.json and vite.config.ts for concrete versions and script names.
Prerequisites
- Node.js (LTS recommended)
- npm (or yarn / pnpm)

- Follow the repo file structure (src/, public/, dist/).
- Keep components small and focused; prefer composition to large monolith components.
- Write unit tests for critical logic and add integration tests for cross-component behavior.
- Open a feature branch for any change:
feature/short-descriptive-name.
Recommended workflow
- Create a feature branch
- Implement changes and add tests
- Run linters and unit tests locally
- Open a Pull Request with a clear description and changelog
Use the build script to generate optimized assets in the dist/ directory:
npm run buildThen serve the contents of dist/ using a static file server or integrate with your hosting provider.
Contributions are welcome. Please:
- Open an issue to discuss large changes before implementing
- Use feature branches and descriptive commit messages
- Keep commits focused and atomic
- Provide a clear PR description and reference any related issues
Before opening a PR, ensure:
- All new code is covered by tests where appropriate
- Linting and formatting pass
- Documentation is updated where behavior changes
- Follow the existing TypeScript and project conventions
- Run the repo's linters and formatters before committing (see package.json for scripts)
If you discover a security issue, please do not open a public issue. Instead, contact the repository maintainer directly or open a private security advisory via the hosting platform.
