Main Functionality

Are you offering extra delivery services and/or looking for a way to make up for your shipping or payment processing expenses? Have a look at our Multi Flat Rate extension as it is probably just what the doctor ordered!

With the extension, you can easily add multiple flat rate shipping fees, with 10 different options to use. You will be able to add different prices according to cart total and locations.

By doing this you will be able to offer additional fees such as Next Day Delivery, Fast Delivery or Special Delivery - increasing average order value, and giving you a way to compensate for shipping and billing expenses.

Per Item / Per Order

Allows you to specify if you want to charge on a per item or per order basis.

Handling Fee

Allows you to assign a fixed/percent based fee on a per item or per order basis.

Country Specific

Set 1 or more specific countries which allows you to offer promotional shipping based on location.

Free Delivery

Allows you to set a minimum / maximum order amount for free shipping on a per method basis.

Admin Specific Method

Create an admin-only shipping method to offer a discount / promotion specified only by the store admin.

Customer Groups

Restrict a method to one or more customer groups (e.g. a rate only Wholesale customers can see). Leave empty to allow all customer groups, including guests.

Requirements

• Magento Open Source / Adobe Commerce 2.4.x
• PHP 8.1, 8.2, or 8.3

Installation

* = in production please use the --keep-generated option

Type 1: Zip file

• Unzip the zip file in app/code/Davix/Flatshipping
• Enable the module by running php bin/magento module:enable Davix_Flatshipping
• Apply database updates by running php bin/magento setup:upgrade*
• Flush the cache by running php bin/magento cache:flush

Type 2: Composer

• Make the module available in a composer repository for example:
  • private repository repo.magento.com
  • public repository packagist.org
  • public github repository as vcs
• Add the composer repository to the configuration by running composer config repositories.repo.magento.com composer https://repo.magento.com/
• Install the module composer by running composer require davix/magento2-flatshipping
• enable the module by running php bin/magento module:enable Davix_Flatshipping
• apply database updates by running php bin/magento setup:upgrade*
• Flush the cache by running php bin/magento cache:flush

Configuration

Each of the 10 methods (carriers/flatrate1 ... carriers/flatrate10) has its own group under Stores > Configuration > Sales > Shipping Methods, with the same fields:

• Enabled, Method Name, Title
• Type (Per Order / Per Item), Price
• Calculate Handling Fee, Handling Fee
• Displayed Error Message
• Ship to Applicable/Specific Countries
• Show Method if Not Applicable
• Maximum/Minimum Order Amount For Free Shipping
• Show Method only for Admin
• Customer Groups
• Sort Order

  • carriers/flatrate1 ... carriers/flatrate10 > Davix\Flatshipping\Model\Carrier\Flatrate (each a di.xml virtualType of the same class with its own carrier code - see etc/di.xml)
