Summary

Reformats the README from bullet lists into compact, scannable markdown tables and adds ~40 datasets that have appeared (or were missing) since the original list.

Structural changes

  • One table per section with consistent columns: Year, Dataset, N, Modalities, Access, Reference.
  • Chronological sort (newest first) within each section.
  • Explicit Access flag: Open / BIDS-OpenNeuro / Application / Restricted.
  • Six sections instead of a flat list:
    1. Single-subject dense sampling (N=1)
    2. Traveling subjects / multi-site harmonization
    3. Multi-subject test-retest (+ meta-resources: CoRR, Open BHB, HCP retest)
    4. Longitudinal developmental / aging cohorts
    5. Longitudinal clinical cohorts (AD, PD, HD, MS, psychosis, epilepsy)
    6. Neuro-oncology pre/post-treatment & longitudinal follow-up

New datasets added

  • Traveling subjects: ON-Harmony (Nat Sci Data 2025, OpenNeuro), FTHP, Tong 2020 multi-shell dMRI.
  • Aging / development: ADNI, AIBL, PPMI, Enroll-HD / TRACK-HD / PREDICT-HD, UK Biobank Imaging, ABCD, HCP-Aging, HCP-Development, Cam-CAN, BLSA, IMAGEN, NCANDA, PNC, NSPN, MACS, Generation R, Dallas Lifespan, MPI-Leipzig MBB, NKI-RS / eNKI longitudinal, SLIM.
  • Clinical: DIAN, MIRIAD, NACC, A4 / LEARN, WRAP, PREVENT-AD, OASIS-4, MSSEG-1, MSSEG-2, OFSEP, FBIRN, B-SNIP, COBRE, MELD.
  • Neuro-oncology (new section): LUMIERE, UPENN-GBM, UCSF-PDGM, RHUH-GBM, Burdenko-GBM-Progression, Brain-TR-GammaKnife, Ivy GAP, ReMIND, GLIS-RT, BraTS 2024 post-treatment.
  • Meta-resources: CoRR, Open BHB, HCP test-retest, HCP 7T retest.

Verification status

  • SIMON checked: still available on NITRC S3.
  • DecNef checked: still gated behind application form (last update 2021-04-15).
  • ON-Harmony confirmed via published DOI and OpenNeuro accession ds004712.
  • TCIA links cross-checked against current collection slugs.

Happy to split this into two PRs (cosmetic refactor + new datasets) if that's easier to review — let me know.

Test plan

  • Render check on GitHub (tables, links).
  • No broken external links in the diff.
  • Section ordering is logical for new readers.

- Convert bullet-list entries to compact markdown tables with consistent
  columns (Year, Dataset, N, Modalities, Access, Reference).
- Sort entries chronologically (newest first) within each section.
- Add explicit Access flag (Open / BIDS-OpenNeuro / Application / Restricted).
- Reorganize into 6 sections:
  1. Single-subject dense sampling (N=1)
  2. Traveling subjects / multi-site harmonization
  3. Multi-subject test-retest (+ meta-resources: CoRR, Open BHB, HCP retest)
  4. Longitudinal developmental / aging cohorts
  5. Longitudinal clinical cohorts (AD, PD, HD, MS, psychosis, epilepsy)
  6. Neuro-oncology pre/post-treatment & longitudinal follow-up
- Add ~40 datasets missing from the original list:
  * Traveling: ON-Harmony (2025), FTHP, Tong 2020 multi-shell dMRI
  * Aging/dev: ADNI, AIBL, PPMI, HD cohorts, UK Biobank, ABCD,
    HCP-Aging/Dev, Cam-CAN, BLSA, IMAGEN, NCANDA, PNC, NSPN, MACS,
    Generation R, Dallas Lifespan, MPI-Leipzig MBB, NKI-RS, SLIM
  * Clinical: DIAN, MIRIAD, NACC, A4, WRAP, PREVENT-AD, OASIS-4,
    MSSEG-1/2, OFSEP, FBIRN, B-SNIP, COBRE, MELD
  * Tumor: LUMIERE, UPENN-GBM, UCSF-PDGM, RHUH-GBM, Burdenko-GBM,
    Brain-TR-GammaKnife, Ivy GAP, ReMIND, GLIS-RT, BraTS 2024 post-tx
  * Meta: CoRR, Open BHB, HCP test-retest, HCP 7T retest

Added new entries from 2025 and also my fav datasets. Additionally test and retest for pathology - could be useful for generalization
