SDS Perspective

Purpose: The Synoptics Display Studio allows for creation of graphical displays to watch your control system Prerequisites: This is not an introduction to EPICS but to the SDS perspective of the Control System Studio, therefore some experience with EPICS-based systems is necessary.

To get you started take a look at these flash videos:

• At first, you have to create a simple display. See here_CreateDisplay.swf]] how to do this.
• To watch a process variable, you simply create a label in your display and connect it to a process variable. See here how to do this.
