Babel 8 changed loadPartialConfig to require a callback, and the caller is @jest/transform's ScriptTransformer. Every one of the nine suites fails identically at _getCacheKey, before a single test runs:

Starting from Babel 8.0.0, the 'loadPartialConfig' function expects a callback.

This repo pins jest: ^29.0.0. Taking Babel 8 means moving the Jest toolchain with it, which is a coordinated upgrade rather than a dependency bump. Leaving open until that is done or Jest ships Babel 8 support.

The other nine dependabot bumps on this repo were verified green and merged today.
