Epic: Topics, descriptions, chips and social previews that fit real organizations #88

Description

@CompleteDotTech

Goal

The closed topic vocabulary, the render-before-apply ordering and the chip and subtitle plumbing made most repositories fail R2/R3 and forced workarounds.

Exit criteria

  • Topic proposals never silently remove accurate topics.
  • Artifacts can be rendered from a staged description.
  • Chips and subtitles are first-class inputs.

Scope

  • E5.1: topics proposals remove accurate existing topics and cannot reach the five-topic minimum
  • E5.2: Render from a staged description and flag drift from the live About text
  • E5.3: Banner requires a GitHub description even when subtitle: is set; card has no chip flags
  • E5.4: content social --job emits no upload job for T3 owners

Progress is tracked through this issue's sub-issues.

Prior work

Prior work: open PR #20 (opt-in --allow-t3 and the Pick Your AI family), open #7 and PR #13 (variant J badges), merged PRs #14 to #19 (icon art-direction path, UTF-8 output, registry-free org health and label planning, Windows test portability, footer URL repair) and closed issues #8 to #12. Nothing here duplicates those; where an item is already handled it is linked, not refiled.

Fresh VM verification: not run. Findings were verified on a Windows host; hosted CI is separate evidence.
