A high score/ point system needs to be implemented. Currently notes are scored good, meh and bad. These scores can be assigned values and added to a total score. Bonuses for maximum combos and such can alter the score as well, making for a more dynamic system.
Implementing the high score feature will require the game to be able to alter its own files. This will mean that a high score system will require full integration with Electron. The high score data can be written into a json file. Each time the player accesses the main menu, the game will read the highscore.json file and add that data to a variable. While the game is running, that variable's data will be altered and will be rewritten and overwrite any existing high-score data. Each time the player access's the high score menu to see what the high scores are, the game will reload the high-score data from file.
