Point contributors to the shared CliMA engineering standards now vendored at docs/dev-guides (from CliMA/DeveloperGuides), mirroring the ClimaCore.jl README. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- AGENTS.md: repo agent guide modeled on ClimaAtmos — points to the shared CliMA guides in docs/dev-guides/, the RRTMGP design docs (getter contract, functional core, precision numerics, RTE/optics), and RRTMGP-specific local norms (layered API, allocation-free getters, formatter, test/docs workflow). - .github/workflows/update_dev_guides.yml: monthly git-subtree pull of CliMA/DeveloperGuides into docs/dev-guides/, opening a PR on changes (the ClimaAtmos drop-in template, repo-agnostic). - README: complete the Contributing blurb with the AGENTS.md pointer, matching the ClimaCore/ClimaAtmos wording.
