Library Variable Search

Library Variable Search is a small ASP.NET Core MVC application for viewing Azure DevOps Library Variable Groups.

It connects to Azure DevOps, loads variable groups from Pipelines > Library, and allows you to filter and search across the configured library variables.

The application is read-only. It does not update or save variable group values.

What it does

The viewer allows you to:

• View Azure DevOps Library Variable Groups
• Filter by scope, pipeline and library name
• Search variable names
• Search non-secret variable values
• Choose whether the search matches variable names, values, or both
• View variable group metadata
• Export a variable group as JSON
• Hide secret values

Secret values are not displayed. Azure DevOps does not return secret values through the API, so the application only shows that the variable is secret.

Configuration

The application needs these settings:

Setting	Description
AzureDevOps:Organisation	The Azure DevOps organisation name
AzureDevOps:Project	The Azure DevOps project name
AzureDevOps:Pat	Personal Access Token used to read variable groups
