Security Policy

The Open Legal Corpus (OLC) is a public infrastructure project. We take the integrity and authenticity of the legal data in this repository seriously.

Reporting a Vulnerability

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the OLC, we encourage you to report it to us privately.

Please do not open a public GitHub issue for security vulnerabilities.

Instead, contact us directly via email:

📧 security@charlesmfouapon.com

What to include in your report:

  • A clear description of the issue.
  • The exact file(s) or data point(s) affected.
  • Steps to reproduce the issue (if applicable).
  • Any potential impact or risk you’ve identified.

What to expect:

We take all reports seriously. We will:

  1. Acknowledge receipt of your report within 48 hours.
  2. Investigate the issue and assess its impact.
  3. Work toward a resolution or mitigation plan.
  4. Communicate progress to you throughout the process.

If the issue is verified, we will work to correct it and may publicly acknowledge your contribution (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).

Data Integrity Policy

The OLC is a curated corpus of legal texts. We do not accept automated scraping contributions without manual review.

Every contribution is reviewed by a maintainer to ensure:

  • The source_url is authoritative and correct.
  • The citation_format follows standard legal practice.
  • The summary is factually accurate and neutral.

License Compliance

All contributions to the OLC are made under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

By contributing, you agree that your work will be publicly available under this license.
