Summary

Resolves #860 by using the Android specific method using

from jnius import autoclass
PythonActivity = autoclass("org.kivy.android.PythonActivity")
locales = PythonActivity.mActivity.getResources().getConfiguration().getLocales()

Also while I'm at it replace the deprecated locale.getdefaultlocale() with locale.getlocale()
