🎨🪞 This project was created during my first year at university and involved choosing an object from a story we were given, then designing concept art based around it. I decided to focus on the mirror because I loved the idea of combining a natural, earthy aesthetic with an object that reflects beauty and emotion. 🌿✨
To create the final concept piece, I first built a simple 3D model of the mirror so I could capture all the angles and perspectives I needed. This allowed me to produce a more complete and detailed concept design that showcased every part of the object. 🛠️📐
Using a 3D base as part of my concept art workflow became a technique I relied on heavily throughout university, and it’s still something I use to this day. Not only does it speed up the design process, but it also creates a much stronger foundation to work from when developing ideas and refining details. 🚀🎨 By combining 3D modelling with digital painting, I’m able to create designs that feel more structured, believable, and visually polished.
