The update feed hardcodes macOS 15.5, so it can drift from the built app when deployment requirements change. Read and validate the archived app’s minimum instead, stopping before dependency resolution, signing or network access if the metadata is missing, malformed or conflicts across architectures.
The app still requires macOS 15.5. This changes release metadata generation; no signing credentials or app targets change.
Validation: eight offline tests pass with stock Python 3.9 and Python 3.15, including fully stubbed publisher runs, XML/binary plists, early rejection and preservation of the prior signed feed entry. The old script fails the relevant regression checks. Bash syntax and diff checks pass; the retained signed archive independently returns 15.5. Nothing was signed or published during validation.
