Start

1. Install

   python -m venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate && pip install -e .

2. Open the app

   forgereceipts ui

3. Open http://127.0.0.1:8787 and choose Add file.

Quick start

Follow the three steps under Start. After forgereceipts ui, open http://127.0.0.1:8787 and choose Add file. You should see Saved a receipt for this file and a hash. Log, Journal, Verify, and Advanced (Forensics, File, Guide, Import/Export) stay in the app.

Receipts stay on this computer. Loopback only (127.0.0.1).

What it is

One unified local-first product. TemporalLock is the append-only ledger. Log, Journal (Time with Child), Forensics (SHA-256), File (templates and conceptual e-filing checklists — no court connection), Guide, Verify, Import/Export, an optional PBKDF2 session lock, and doctor/debug for the other *Lock engines if they import. All 50 states + DC + federal baseline; the selected state is remembered in ./.forgereceipts.

Data lives in ./.forgereceipts (gitignored). Never uploaded.

The hosted runtime is OpenAPI 3.1 and MCP. Any MCP- or OpenAPI-capable assistant can call it. That includes ChatGPT (GPT Actions / OpenAI), Grok (xAI), Venice, Claude (Anthropic), Cursor (MCP), Glama (MCP), Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot / Bing, Google Gemini / Vertex, Mistral, Meta AI, Apple Intelligence surfaces, Amazon Q tooling, DuckAssist, You.com, Cohere, and other MCP/OpenAPI-capable assistants.

POST /v1/receipt {note, context?, request_id?, attempt_n?, parent_receipt_id?, correlation_id?, outcome?}. Local-style receipt JSON. The hash covers request_id, attempt_n, parent_receipt_id, correlation_id, and outcome (retry, failed, or completed). GET /v1/doctor lists axes request_id, attempt_n, parent_receipt_id, and correlation_id. Receipts without integer attempt_n keep the older five-field hash. Not a forensic finding. Every response banners Not legal advice. No court filing. Child-best-interests motto. Does not call Odyssey or any court.
