A simple resume builder made for students who don't want to stress about formatting.
Making a resume for the first time is confusing.
What should go where?
What format is correct?
Will it pass ATS?
I built RESio to solve this exact problem.
Instead of worrying about layout, you just enter your details - and RESio structures everything into a clean, professional resume.
- Lets you enter your details in a simple form
- Builds a structured, ATS-friendly resume in real time
- Supports multiple:
- Projects
- Experience
- Education
- Certifications
- Volunteering
- Optional sections (only show if you use them)
- Download your resume as a PDF
- Clean dark/light mode UI
This project is built using:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
No frameworks, no backend - everything runs in the browser. No irritating login/signup to use it.
- You enter your details on the left
- The resume preview updates live on the right
- When you click download, the preview is converted into a PDF
No data is stored. Everything stays on your device.
This project is still a work in progress.
Planned improvements:
- Better UI polish
- Mobile responsiveness fixes
- More resume templates
- Session in works
This project is open source.
If you have ideas, improvements, or find bugs - feel free to:
- Open an issue
- Suggest changes
- Improve the UI/UX
This project is something I was searching for as a student.
Every resume builder I tried had at least one problem:
- Wanted me to create an account
- Locked download behind a paywall
- Or gave me a format that just looked... off
So I thought, why not build one that doesn’t do any of that?
Just open, type, download. That's it.
