Closes #29

Purpose

Define the production compatibility contract for source-proven X_ITE viewport selection.

Owner decisions

  • viewport selection does not move the source caret;
  • viewport picking is armed only in Model workspace;
  • shared parser-hook ownership is serialized across browser instances;
  • abort must synchronously release owned parser-hook state;
  • touch(false) is NO_HIT and may never reuse the previous hit;
  • CRLF, BOM and Unicode are mandatory production validation cases.

Production status

No WD2-D production implementation is included.

#30 remains separately owner-authorized work.

Mandatory conditions

All 12 WD2-C0 conditions remain required.

QA

Independent production QA remains #31.

WD2-D-R (#29). Production contract for source-proven X_ITE viewport
selection: one narrow private-API adapter with a shared parser-hook
coordinator, per-parse capture, synchronous abort, displaced-wrapper
handling, touch(false) as NO_HIT, generation/exact-text binding, refusal
model, upgrade guards and the 12-condition matrix.

Owner decisions: no source-caret movement; picking armed only in the
Model workspace; LF/CRLF/BOM/Unicode are mandatory #30 cases.

Documentation only. No production code, dependency or test change.
