What this adds

The import script

  • It takes language codes now. It wrote only the fourteen new files.
  • English that differs in capitals only (My picture, My Picture) counts as the same text.
  • The twelve languages from 0.2.31 are untouched. Running the script for them would drop texts where Desktop's English moved on.

The first start

  • LanguageFiles.match picks the first of Locale.preferredLanguages the launcher has a file for.
  • zh, zh-CN and zh-SG read zh-Hans. zh-TW, zh-HK, zh-MO and any Hant locale read zh-Hant.
  • nb, nn and no read no.json. fil and tl read fil.json.
  • It applies only when there are no saved preferences.
  • The rules are the same as Desktop's Language.matchLocale.

Fonts

  • CoreText's fallback covers every new script on this Mac: Kefa (Amharic), Khmer Sangam MN, Lao Sangam MN, Apple SD Gothic Neo (Korean) and PingFang.
  • Without a language hint, Traditional Chinese falls back to PingFang SC. With the zh-Hant hint it gets PingFang TC.
  • Whether the launcher's SwiftUI text passes that hint was not checked.

Checks

  • swift test --filter "LanguageCheckTests|LanguageFilesTests": 20 tests, 0 failures.
  • swift test: 1079 tests, 14 skipped, 0 failures.
  • mobile/tool/check_translations.dart is unchanged. It has no full-stop rule, so the Khmer change does not apply there.

… Mac's language

Czech, Danish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Romanian, Swedish, Filipino, Malay,
Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Khmer, Lao and Amharic, carried
over from AnyPS5-Desktop main (AnyTogether/AnyPS5-Desktop#49) by
import-port-translations.py. They hold the texts whose English reads the
same in both launchers.

The script now takes language codes, so it wrote only these fourteen. It
also treats English that differs in capitals only as the same text.

The first start picks the Mac's language with the same rules as the
Windows/Linux launcher. Chinese follows its script or region, nb and nn
read no.json, and tl reads fil.json.
