Prepares and ships the 1.0.0 stable release. This is the documentation, verification and supply-chain work that turns the 0.11 feature set into a product release; protocol behavior is unchanged since 0.11.0.

Highlights

  • Documentation overhaul — README rewritten around the 1.0 product surface, supported matrix and limitations; API/ARCHITECTURE/BUILDING/SECURITY/CONTRIBUTING/AGENTS and the in-app help updated.
  • Documentation site — MkDocs Material site at https://antruly.github.io/uvscope/, built and deployed by .github/workflows/docs.yml.
  • New reference docs — docs/EVENTS.md (1.x event contract, additive-only), docs/EXTENDING.md (variables, scripts, command library, internal child IPC boundary), docs/OPERATIONS.md (data/backup/upgrades/hardening), docs/PERFORMANCE.md.
  • Runtime matrix — scripts/h2-smoke.sh verifies a real ALPN h2 request on Windows MinGW and macOS arm64 CI and in the release build.
  • Performance baseline — scripts/bench.sh / scripts/bench.py measure direct origin vs in-process vs isolated proxy, with a recorded reference run.
  • Supply chain — the release publish job now generates an SPDX SBOM, SHA256SUMS with flat basenames, and a Sigstore keyless signature (SHA256SUMS.sigstore.json). A workflow_dispatch dry-run exercises the pipeline without publishing.
  • Version bump — daemon, frontend package/lockfile, embedded UI version, Windows installer and docs to 1.0.0.

Scope

Explicitly outside the 1.x matrix and tracked in the roadmap: Windows arm64, HTTP/3 stabilization, a native plugin ABI, and the page-by-page light-theme audit. The 1.x API and event schema are additive-only.

Verification

  • ./scripts/build.sh; --version → uvscope 1.0.0
  • ctest 2/2; --self-check 0 failures
  • Full smoke-test.sh suite (HTTP/2, listeners, SOCKS5, proxy, downloads, WS, TLS/CA, audit, backup, workspace, supervisor)
  • h2-smoke.sh on Linux; Windows/macOS jobs run it in CI
  • npm --prefix web run check:i18n (1295 keys) and the frontend build
  • scripts/bench.sh reference runs for in-process and isolated proxies
  • Docs site build is validated by the new docs workflow

After merge: dry-run release.yml via workflow_dispatch, then tag v1.0.0 and verify the published assets, checksums, signature and SBOM.

Ship the first stable release: complete the 1.0 documentation set, add the
documentation site, verify HTTP/2 at runtime on Windows and macOS, add a
repeatable proxy benchmark, and publish a signed, checksummed release with
an SBOM.

- rewrite README around the 1.0 product surface, support matrix and
  limitations; update API/ARCHITECTURE/BUILDING/SECURITY/CONTRIBUTING/
  AGENTS/help for 1.0
- add the MkDocs Material documentation site and GitHub Pages workflow, plus
EVENTS (1.x event contract), EXTENDING, OPERATIONS and PERFORMANCE guides
- add scripts/h2-smoke.sh and wire it into Windows/macOS CI and release;
  add scripts/bench.sh + bench.py and a documented baseline
- release workflow: SPDX SBOM, flat-name SHA256SUMS, Sigstore keyless
signature, and a workflow_dispatch dry-run that skips publishing
- bump daemon, frontend, embedded UI and Windows installer versions to 1.0.0

Verified: build.sh, --version reports 1.0.0, ctest 2/2, self-check 0
failures, full smoke suite, H2 runtime smoke, i18n parity (1295 keys),
benchmark baseline. Documentation site build is validated by CI.
macOS does not ship seq(1); use arithmetic while loops so the macOS CI
and release jobs can run the script.
The MINGW64 pacman repo has no nodejs package, so the job failed at setup.
Install mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-nodejs and put /ucrt64/bin on PATH for the
HTTP/2 runtime check.
The dry run used the branch name in tar/zip paths, which contains a slash.
Tags are unaffected (v1.0.0 -> 1.0.0), but the sanitized label lets the dry
run validate the full packaging and supply-chain pipeline.
