Is there a "location" setting to have preferences for different monitors in different locations?

I've set up Aerial for my multiple home monitors. Works great. But when I go to work (also with multiple monitors), my preferences are gone / ignored.

My guess is that Aerial's preferences (specifically overlays) seem to be persistent to the monitor on which those preferences were originally set. Because when I return home, everything is back to working as expected.

Therefore, does Aerial have a "location" setting in which you can set preferences (specifically overlays) for work, home, etc?

So it depends on settings, you can either have one configuration applied everywhere, or, likely what you want with multiple monitors, per monitor settings :

To be precise, when you do something monitor specific in Aerial (that would be overlays, or setting independent playback on individual monitor), Aerial identifies the monitor via the "id" that macOS gives the monitor. This means that, if you have say two identical monitors at home, Aerial can (reliably in v4.X) know which is which precisely.

So, no, but you don't need one. Just configure the overlays however you want at work, and since the settings are set per physical monitor, they will stick anytime they are connected, so it will work when you are there, and will use the correct configurations when you are on your home monitors. Makes sense ?
