Overview

cloud-convert is a command-line tool to quickly and easily convert geospatial to cloud-optimized formats and run quality checks before publication. It supports metadata inspection, QA/QC checks, raster-to-COG conversion, and vector-to-GeoParquet conversion. Batch processing is automatically handled when directories are provided as input.

Notes:
This tool is stable enough for most workflows but may have edge cases and some less than optimized code. It has seen heavy use on Linux machines with a few terabytes of data, so it is stable enough. Other platforms still need tested. It is used in many of our data science workflows for the Adaptation Atlas
