A cosmetic Muse Dash mod that lets you appear as any character or elfin you own while keeping the abilities of the ones you actually have selected.
- Set Visual button: On the character and elfin panels, a SET VISUAL button sits next to the game's own SELECT button. Press it to use what's shown as your visual; press it again (or pick your equipped one) to go back to the default.
- F6 menu: Press F6 anywhere to open the settings window. Pick a character, an elfin, and the Neon Egg form, then press Apply & Save.
- Config file: Settings are saved to
UserData/Amalgamuse.cfg. The F6 menu shows each character's and elfin's ID if you'd rather edit it by hand.
Only characters and elfins you own can be used as visuals. Unowned ones are greyed out in the F6 menu, and an unowned ID in the config file is ignored.
- Rin & Len visual: Works on every character except Wisadel, Bloodheir, Thief and Taoist Buro, whose own battle logic is part of their ability. On those, your real character's model is shown in battle instead. I don't want to rewrite their ability scripts from scratch, so this is what I settled on. I genuinely do not believe anyone will ever use these combinations anyway.
Yes! Amalgamuse was written from the ground up to be much more simplistic and efficient than FavGirl, and solves a handful of fundamental issues with it, including:
- Incompatibility with Neon Egg, Rin & Len, and Racer Rin
- Incorrect victory screen for custom charts
- Requiring a manual update for every new character release
- A lot of bloat and unmaintainable code
Amalgamuse cannot run alongside FavGirl; if both are installed, Amalgamuse disables itself.
