On June 1, 2026, Strava announced significant changes to its Developer Program, including a requirement for developers to have an active Strava subscription in order to access the API.
Statistics for Strava has always depended heavily on the Strava API. As a result, these changes may have a significant impact on the future of the project.
At this moment, I have not yet decided what the long-term future of Statistics for Strava will look like. I am currently evaluating the implications of the new Developer Program, possible alternatives, and what this means for both existing and future users.
For now, the project remains available and existing installations will continue to work as long as Strava access remains available. However, I want to be transparent that future development, new installations, and long-term support are currently under review.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project, contributed code, reported issues, translated the application, or simply used Statistics for Strava over the years. I'll share more information once I have a clearer picture of the available options.
