🚀 IoT-based Home Security System using Arduino with motion and fire detection.
Developed an IoT-based smart home security system using Arduino to detect intrusions and environmental hazards such as fire and smoke. The system generates real-time alerts via buzzer and LED, helping improve safety and enabling quick emergency response.
- Real-time motion detection using PIR sensor
- Fire and smoke detection using flame/MQ-2 sensor
- Instant alert using buzzer and LED
- Automatic monitoring without human intervention
- Low-cost and energy-efficient system
- Arduino Uno
- C/C++ (Arduino IDE)
- PIR Sensor
- Flame Sensor / MQ-2 Gas Sensor
- Buzzer & LED
- Embedded Systems
The system continuously monitors the environment using PIR and flame sensors.
- PIR sensor detects human motion
- Flame sensor detects fire/smoke
- If any abnormal condition is detected:
- Arduino sends signal to buzzer (sound alert)
- LED turns ON (visual alert)
This ensures real-time detection and quick response to potential threats.
The Arduino code reads sensor inputs and triggers alerts when motion or fire is detected.
