Request money: split between several users
Request money from several users at once and split it by factor, percentage or fixed amount; unset shares are calculated automatically and can be reset per person; optionally include your own share
The simple form stays the default, splitting is enabled via the "Single / Group" toggle; negative automatic shares are marked with a warning icon
Amount fields: dot and comma
New DecimalInput component replaces type="number": accepts both dot and comma as decimal separator; at most 4 decimal places are shown
Keycloak / LDAP
Old LDAP usernames ("firstname.lastname") are replaced with the Keycloak display name ("Firstname Lastname") on Keycloak login and once at server start; other names are left unchanged
Admin rights (LABEATS_ADMIN) are synced with the user's groups on every Keycloak login; without a groups claim the stored value is kept
Sign-out after update
Every build gets a SESSION_BUILD_ID; sessions from older builds are rejected, so every container update signs all users out once. Restarting the same image signs nobody out.
Group orders
Individual items are only reserved (transaction type 4, "reserved purchase") and charged when the order is settled; they can be cancelled until the order closes. Reservations count towards the balance check for users who are not creditworthy.
Shopper: "I'm going shopping" / sign off, set automatically when the order closes or is settled or by a new button; only one Person can be the shopper but you can take it from some else.
Category filter for the order window (admins and shopper)
Reworked settlement: adjustable prices for individual items, "Total / group items only" toggle, separate button; admins can always revert a settlement, the person who settled it for 2 h
Items can have a deposit amount; the buy tab shows a separate "+ deposit" button for it, booked as a regular purchase without category markups
Deposit as a column in the inventory; inventory sortable by name, price, deposit and account
Statistics
Profile: tiles for ranking, total spending, procurement, weekly/monthly average, deposit and top 3 items
New admin page "Statistics" with totals only: revenue, active users, deposit, outstanding balances, overdrafts, best-selling items
Notification dot
Red dot on the account tab (on mobile on the menu icon) when someone has collected money from you; it disappears once the account page has been opened
Minor UI fixes
Top-up button in the header uses the nav color,
filter buttons in the buy tab are consistent and persistent,
the creditworthy checkbox in the user popup resets when switching users
changed & more consistant grey shades
Cleanup and booking bugs
Security: removed user.getCtx, which returned the LDAP bind password without login
Undo now also books the item price/deposit back from the clearing account
Undo, transfers, closing/reverting group orders are protected against double execution
Fees without a target clearing account are rejected instead of being lost; no negative prices when closing a group order
LDAP user data no longer logged, cron errors are logged; dead code and debug logs removed; npm audit fix
README: instructions for local development
Deployment notes
4 migrations, applied automatically via prisma migrate deploy in the entrypoint:
add_orders_starts_at_to_template: new column, default 72
add_item_deposit: new column, default 0
add_grouporder_shopper_and_filter: rebuilds the GroupOrder table and backfills the shopper of closed orders with the recipient of the settlement.
add_user_retractions_seen_at: marks all existing money collections as seen so nobody sees a stale red dot after the update
All users are signed out once after deployment (new build ID).
src/instrumentation.ts renames old LDAP usernames once at server start. This is transitional code and can be removed (together with syncKeycloakNames in src/server/syncKeycloakNames.ts) once all accounts have been migrated. Renaming on login is not affected.
Individual items that were still charged directly at purchase before the update are booked back from the clearing account when a settlement is reverted, so old orders remain revertible.
The entrypoint script does not abort if a migration fails: the app still starts, but with an incompletely migrated schema. Check the output of prisma migrate deploy in the container log after deploying.

Documentation
Updated setup instructions and clarified database path handling.
- Request money from multiple users at once (atomic, one transaction per user)
- Split by factors, percentages or absolute amounts; unset shares are
calculated automatically and can be reset per person
- Optionally include yourself in the split (your share isn't requested)
- Equal card heights on the split page

Anmerkung bleiben beim Umschalten erhalten.

The pull request updates group-order purchasing and billing, deposit purchases, money requests, account statistics, and authentication. It also changes database fields, development setup, session validation, and several interface views.
Changes: Group-order lifecycle
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Group-order data and scheduling prisma/schema.prisma, prisma/migrations/*, src/components/Forms/GrouporderTemplateForm.tsx, src/pages/api/cron/trigger.ts
Group orders gain shopper and category-filter fields. Templates gain an ordersStartsAt value, which the cron job uses to calculate when to create an order.
Reservation and close operations src/server/api/routers/groupOrders.ts
The router adds quantity-aware reservations, shopper and category mutations, reservation cancellation, adjusted prices during close, and guarded close and revert transactions.
Group-order controls and history src/pages/grouporders/*, src/components/FormElements/GroupOrderDetailView.tsx, src/components/PageComponents/TransactionList.tsx
The pages add shopper controls, category filtering, separate item lists, shopper details, and a split-view toggle. Transaction type 4 receives a label.
Split billing and revert authorization src/components/FormElements/GroupOrderSplit.tsx, src/helper/generalFunctions.ts, src/helper/globalTypes.ts, src/helper/generalFunctions.test.ts
Split billing supports separate group and individual costs, payer selection, and price overrides. Shared helpers calculate splits and check the two-hour revert window.
Deposits and item purchasing
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Deposit fields and item forms prisma/schema.prisma, prisma/migrations/*, src/components/Forms/ItemForm.tsx, src/components/General/BuyItemCard.tsx
Items gain a deposit field. The item form edits it, and the purchase card provides a deposit-purchase flow.
Purchase and deposit transactions src/pages/buy.tsx, src/server/api/routers/items.ts, src/server/helper/dataProcessing.ts
The buy page connects deposit purchases. The item router validates deposits and reserved backing, records deposit transactions, and treats group-order purchases as reservations.
Inventory sorting and deposit display src/components/PageComponents/InventoryOverview.tsx
The inventory table sorts by name, price, deposit, or account, and displays positive deposits.
Transfers and retraction requests
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Group requests and split calculations src/components/PageComponents/GetMoney.tsx, src/pages/split.tsx, src/server/api/routers/transactions.ts, src/server/api/routers/user.ts, prisma/schema.prisma, prisma/migrations/*
The request form supports group participants and split modes. The retraction mutation accepts multiple requests, and the user router adds unseen-retraction count and seen-date procedures.
The account page marks retractions as seen, and the header displays the unseen count. DecimalInput replaces native numeric inputs in several forms. Money transfers check reserved funds, and undoing a purchase also updates account balances.
User balances and form state src/pages/all-users.tsx, src/components/PageComponents/UserOverview.tsx
The user overview adds search, sorting, balance formatting, and distinct request states. The selected-user form receives a key based on the selected user.
User and admin statistics
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Statistics calculations and queries src/server/helper/statistics.ts, src/server/helper/statistics.test.ts, src/server/api/routers/transactions.ts, src/server/api/routers/user.ts
New helpers calculate period averages, date-bounded totals, and item rankings. User and admin queries return additional sales, deposit, activity, balance, and ranking data.
Statistics cards and navigation src/components/PageComponents/RankingCard.tsx, src/pages/me/index.tsx, src/pages/admin/stats.tsx, src/components/Layout/Header.tsx
The profile and admin pages display statistics cards and item rankings. The header adds a link to the admin statistics page.
JWTs record a build ID, and the proxy checks it. Keycloak group claims determine and synchronize admin status.
Keycloak name synchronization src/instrumentation.ts, src/server/auth.ts, src/server/syncKeycloakNames.ts, src/server/syncKeycloakNames.test.ts, src/server/ldap.ts, src/server/api/routers/user.ts
Sign-in and Node.js instrumentation run name synchronization. Helpers extract Keycloak names and update LDAP-style names. LDAP logs no longer serialize user records, and the public getCtx procedure is removed.
Runtime setup and shared presentation
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Development and database setup .env.example, README.md, eslint.config.mts, scripts/screenshots/seed.ts, src/server/db.ts
The README adds development setup instructions. SQLite URLs pass through unchanged, screenshot seeding uses the selected path, and ESLint ignores .next/**.

Hey,
danke für die Erweiterungen!
Ein paar Dinge:
Category fees can disappear before settlement — P1
The new flow delays charging a reserved item until the group order is settled. To calculate its fees later, settlement reads the categories associated with that purchase.
However, the category relationship can point to only one purchase. Buying another item with the same category moves that relationship to the newer purchase.
For example:
Alice reserves an item with a €0.50 category fee.
Bob reserves another item using that category.
The category association moves from Alice’s reservation to Bob’s.
At settlement, Alice’s reservation no longer has the category information needed to charge her fee.
An ordinary purchase can also displace the association. The result is missing charges and too little money credited to the clearing account. Previously, fees were calculated immediately, before a later purchase could change the relationship.
Suggested fix: save the applicable fees and their destination accounts separately for every reservation, so subsequent purchases cannot change them.
A reservation can arrive after the order has settled — P2
Checking whether an order is open and creating the reservation happen separately. Another request can close and settle the order between those steps.
For example:
Alice clicks to reserve an item; the server checks that the order is open.
The shopper closes and settles the order.
Alice’s request resumes and creates the reservation without checking again.
That reservation missed settlement, but cancellation is now blocked because the order is closed. Its amount can remain reserved against Alice’s available balance, reducing what she can spend or transfer.
Suggested fix: make checking the order’s state and creating the reservation one coordinated operation that cannot race with closure or settlement.
Editing a category can empty an order’s item list — P2
Editing a category creates a replacement category with a new ID and moves its items to that replacement. An existing group order’s filter still points to the old ID.
For example, an order is filtered to “Drinks.” An admin edits that category. All drinks now belong to its replacement, while the order continues filtering by the old category. Consequently, no items match, and the old category also disappears from the selector.
This disrupts ordering until the shopper or an admin resets the filter; it does not delete the items.
Suggested fix: update affected order filters when replacing a category, or have filters refer to a category identity that remains stable across edits.
Block settlement when the total is too low.
If individual reservations total €10 but the shopper enters a €5 overall receipt total, the interface marks the amount invalid yet still allows settlement. The shared portion is clamped to zero, and €10 is charged anyway. Disable submission for this case and validate the expected total on the server.

Block "Abrechnen" while the total is invalid or too low.
The total input shows an error state when totalAmount is NaN or when totalAmountTooLow is true. The button does not use either condition.
If the field is empty, totalAmount is NaN. groupAmount becomes NaN, and pricePerRemainingItem falls back to 0.
If the total is below itemBuysSum, groupAmount is clamped to 0.
In both cases the user can confirm and close the order. All group items are billed at 0 and the destination user is credited too little. Disable the button in these states.

Make an empty deposit field resolve to zero.
When an admin clears the optional deposit field, DecimalInput sends NaN to the Controller. The schema default applies to an omitted value, not NaN, so submission fails. Convert an empty value to undefined or 0 before validation.

Remove the full account migration from server startup.
Each Node.js server start awaits syncKeycloakNames. That function loads every Keycloak account, including its ID token, and performs rename updates serially. For a large account table, this delays readiness on every restart, not only on the deployment that needs the migration. Run the rename as a one-time, batched migration instead. Next.js requires async register work to finish before the server is ready. (nextjs.org)

Review comment at @src/instrumentation.ts at line 6:
Remove the await syncKeycloakNames(prisma) call from the server startup flow in
instrumentation.ts, and move the account rename work into a one-time batched
migration that does not block server readiness on each restart.

Read reserved-buy categories from mapping.item, not mapping.categories.
Category.itemPurchaseId can point to only one ItemCategoryMapping. buyItem reserves each piece with categories: { connect: ... }, which moves the item's categories to the newest mapping. Earlier mappings lose their categories in two cases:
quantity > 1 creates one mapping per piece with the same category IDs. Only the last mapping keeps them.
A later reservation of the same item moves the categories away from earlier reservations.
close computes reserved-buy fees from mapping.categories. For an affected reservation, no category fee is computed. The buyer is booked for price + fees.total, so the buyer is charged less than the reserved fees, and the category clearing accounts are not credited. revertClosed uses the same calculation, so the reversal does not expose the mismatch.
mapping.item.categories is not affected by itemPurchaseId. Items are immutable, and the item's categories are the same categories that buyItem reserves. Read fees from mapping.item.categories in both places, and include item in the queries that load the mappings:
Use the same include shape in the query that supplies transaction in revertClosed.

Update the reserved-buy fee calculations in close and revertClosed to use
mapping.item.categories instead of mapping.categories, and include each
mapping’s item with its categories in both queries that load the orders or
transaction. Keep the existing fee calculation inputs and other query includes
unchanged.

Do not revoke admin access for a malformed groups array.
If a Keycloak profile supplies groups as an array of objects or numbers, isAdminFromGroups returns false. syncKeycloakAdmin then persists is_admin: false and removes the login JWT’s admin claim. Treat non-string entries as an invalid claim, as the helper already does for a missing or non-array claim.

Review comment at @src/server/syncKeycloakAdmin.ts around lines 11 - 12:
Update isAdminFromGroups to return undefined when groups is not an array or
contains any non-string entry; preserve the existing admin-group check for
arrays containing only strings so malformed claims do not revoke admin access.
