Summary

A subtraction pass on the redesign from #58, after review on the live site: fewer text styles per component and fewer rules.

  • Experience entries: the hanging title column widens from 3 to 4 of 10 grid columns and holds only the title. The grey record lines (organization or paper title, then dates) are removed; the detail pages' record strip still carries them.
  • Rules → whitespace: entries, directory rows, degree records and contact items are now separated by space (64px between entries). Rules remain only at section level, on the detail-page record strip, and on diagram stages. The diagram's own top rule is removed because the record strip rule sits just above it.
  • Disclosure note: its text introduces "the following four projects", so it now opens the AI section as a standfirst under the heading, in the reading face and supporting-ink colour. Its heading is visually hidden and still labels the aside.
  • About introduction: "Thinking mathematically / Working in AI" stacks over its paragraph on one left edge; the second line steps back to the muted tone.
  • Prose inset: prose on axis B keeps --prose-inset (32px) from the reading-end guide.
  • Fix: the diagram's middle loop segment rendered with the class name undefined; it now has its own class.

Copy and contracts

  • No approved prose changed. Visible copy changes only on /experience/ and its compatibility routes (record lines removed, note moved).
  • protected-sources.json: hash refreshed for ExperienceContent.tsx (markup only).
  • visible-copy-manifest.json: regenerated.
  • Tests now encode the 4fr / 6fr split, the column-9 guide, and the absence of entry, row and directory rules. docs/design.md is updated.

Test plan

  • npm run check (protected sources, lint, build, 146/146 artifact tests, visible copy)
  • npm run typecheck
  • Visual review at 1536px (About, Experience, a legal article) and 390px (Experience)

Widen the hanging title column to four of ten grid columns and leave only
the title in it; drop the record lines under Experience titles. Entries,
directory rows, degree records and contact items are separated by
whitespace instead of rules, so rules remain only at section level, on the
record strip and on diagram stages. Prose keeps an inset from the
reading-end guide.

The AI confidentiality note introduces "the following four projects", so it
now opens the section as its standfirst, with a visually hidden heading.
The About introduction stacks a two-tone headline over its paragraph on one
edge. The diagram's middle loop segment gets its own class instead of
"undefined".

No approved prose changed; only Experience and its compatibility routes
change visible copy.
