Complete manual assistive-technology and hardware certification #13

Description

@zrack

Operator outcome

Critical NarrowsLink workflows have reproducible manual evidence for the assistive-technology, operating-system, zoom, and physical Web Serial combinations the project actually claims to support.

Delivered automation boundary

The current Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit gates cover WCAG A/AA axe rules, keyboard and focus management, forced-color cues, responsive reflow, a 200%-equivalent CSS viewport, failure recovery, archive bytes and hashes, and the critical capture-to-evidence journey. These are browser-engine and automated API results, not native screen-reader, operating-system scaling, browser device chooser, USB driver, or physical adapter certification.

Remaining scope

  • Record structured VoiceOver results with packaged Safari on macOS and iOS or iPadOS.
  • Record NVDA results with packaged Firefox and a Chromium-based browser on Windows.
  • Add JAWS coverage when a licensed Windows environment is available.
  • Verify native 200% browser zoom together with operating-system scaling.
  • Exercise physical Web Serial selection, permission, disconnect, failure recovery, representative adapters, and drivers.

Exit criteria

ACCESSIBILITY.md records reproducible results, exceptions, environment identity, and tested boundaries for every supported manual combination without broadening claims beyond observed evidence.
