Unfortunately I don't have good logs for the issue I am having, but wanted to report it anyways. I have observed this for some time, so it is not related to some new devices in my network or a recent update.
In my network, there are some powered devices that appear to loose connectivity after some time. I cannot pinpoint any specific event that causes it, what I can say is that after restarting homeassistant, the devices recover.
So it appears to be not due to the device hanging (I do not have to powercycle those), but rather some network management/state management thing. "Restarting" the coordinator appears to fix these issues.
Whats interesting is that there are some devices that are more prone to this than others. For example: I have three light bulbs (same make, same place) with automation, and one of them just stops working after a few weeks and won't respond until home assistant is restarted. Those are not the only devices that show this, but for this it happened yesterday.
I am aware that this is very little, anecdotal evidence - nevertheless I am hoping that others may be able to share their observations as well and as soon as it happens for me again, I'll try to capture some logs.
