My ZATech Slack account was recently deactivated without notification or explanation. I've been a ZATech member for over 4 years and this is the first time I've encountered an issue like this.
I've tried to raise this through the proper channels, but have run into the following problems:
- The
/report page (zatech.co.za/report) returns a 404
- The admin list is only visible from within the Slack workspace, which I can no longer access
- There is no documented appeal process for deactivation decisions
A community of this size should have a working reporting mechanism and a clear, accessible appeals process.
I'd appreciate both a review of my account deactivation, and some transparency around how decisions like this are made and how members can appeal them.
